llustration for Album project, with the topic “What does life feel like on a bicycle?” What is Album? Álbum is a release, the first issue of a magazine. The contents are a collective sample of texts, illustrations, photographs about the relationship we have with the bicycle during these global and digital times. It’s going to be a sentimental collection, a bricolage of impressions of riding a bike. Hi everyone! Today i`m going to introduce to you some character designs i did while working at Peppermelon.tv, for Rolo, a brand of caramel candy treats, that were never shown to the public in general. They are a bunch of characters i really love, as they came out pretty funky, colorful, and quirky, just the way i like`m.
Here we have our hero, Rolo, at first Rolo wasn`t this slick, but the client wanted him to have some more urban flare, so he ended dressed like this.
These are some previous options on our hero, had a lot of fun creating them!
Also, i had to create this funky meanies, that were intended to take the last candy from the hands of our kind hero. Shame on them! (everyone loved the one sporting a Smokey and the Bandit style `stache)
Here we have the last rolo standoff on a background made by the all time great Martín Dasnoy, a multi-talented peep, and a very good friend.
Hope you like it guys! it was a lot of fun working on that pitch, with the lovely talented peeps at Peppermelon!
Till next post, always.
